The (tentative) VGLN.com E3 schedule!
by Jolex Del Pilar

Thursday, May 9 2002

Just in case you've been looking to bash one of the staff for a faulty review, this is one way you can track us!

E3 2002 is looking already to be bigger than the previous show last year. Although E3 2001 saw the debut of two brand new consoles, the games weren't nearly as plentiful as they are this year. With no more than a half dozen key titles set to debut on every platform, this year's E3 looks to be bigger than all the previous shows combined. A new Mario title, Zelda title, Shenmue 2 on Xbox, Halo 2, online Final Fantasy, and much more will probably make this an E3 to remember. Given that, we here at VGLN.com have planned out a schedule (particularly my own) that I will attempt to follow while in L.A two weeks from now.

May 20th

Microsoft Pre-Show Event

May 21st

Sony Pre-Show
Media Event/Press Conference - 8:00 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.

Nintendo Pre-Show

May 22nd
7:30 a.m., Media Briefing
8:15 a.m., Breakfast served, Media Hospitality Suite

10 a.m., Show floor opens to general attendees
10:00 AM Konami, SOUTH HALL, Booth 900
3:30 PM Codemaster’s South Hall, Booth 1168

Tentative: NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt, Jr. - Available in the morning at the InterAct Accessories booth for media interviews, autograph signing and racing wheel demos. Booth: South 1424

May 23rd
11 a.m Rage South Hall, Booth 436
1 PM Bandai of America

Tentative: Tina Jordan (Playboy Model!), 9:30 -11:30 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. Booth: Kentia 7618

May 24th
10:00 AM TDK Mediactive, South Hall, Booth 1446
11:30 AM Kemco, WEST HALL, Booth 2808
1:30 PM Ncsoft (Richard Garriot) Petree Hall ,Meeting Room 4201
2:00 PM Simon and Schuster

Of course this schedule still has two weeks to form, and currently I am still working out times with companies such as Ubi Soft, and Acclaim, but it gives you a pretty good idea of the hectic scheduling we game editors have to put up with (like that's so hard).
