New Wireless Track at Austin Game Conference

Track will feature wireless media and entertainment.

The Austin Game Initiative today announced the speakers of the Mobile Track at the Austin Game Conference, to be held September 11-12, 2003, at the Austin Convention Center. The two-day event is designed to inform and educate game industry professionals on next-generation technologies and business strategies for emerging products and platforms, such as online multi-player and mobile games. The mobile track focuses on both the business issues and development issues behind developing games for wireless platforms.

The Mobile Track includes over 30 speakers from veteran mobile developers, publishers, device makers and carriers including: Nokia, Qualcomm, Sun Microsystems, Sorrent, Mforma, Centerscore, Nuvo Studios, Cybiko Wireless, Fathammer and many others.

The mobile track at the Austin Game Conference is designed for Console and PC game developers who are interested in learning more about how to take their games to wireless devices such as cell phones. The conference is open to anyone who has an interest in game development.

The track is sponsored by Nokia. The mobile/wireless program complements an outstanding online mulitiplayer game development program at the conference.
