Entries for Innovations 2004, the consumer technology design awards program sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) and endorsed by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA), are being accepted until October 12. For the ninth straight year, this prestigious awards program gives manufacturers and developers an opportunity to have their products judged by a preeminent panel of journalists, designers and engineers, with the winning products showcased at the 2004 International CES- the world's largest consumer technology tradeshow - January 8-11 in Las Vegas, Nev.

As a widely renowned consumer technology awards program, Innovations 2004 recognizes the best designed and engineered products in the categories of:

* Accessibility
* Accessories
* Audio
* Computer hardware
* Digital imaging
* Electronic gaming
* Environmental design
* Home appliances
* Home data networking
* Integrated home systems
* Mobile electronics
* Online/Internet
* Personal electronics
* Retailing CE accessories
* Retail resources
* Satellite systems
* Home office

The 2004 Best of Innovations award is given to the most highly honored products in their category, for all categories with three or more entries. Best of Innovations honorees are highlighted throughout the Innovations 2004 promotional materials, and will be previewed in a special display in the Silver Lot exhibits of the Las Vegas Convention Center during the 2004 International CES.

Innovations is open anyone who wishes to enter, regardless of whether they are exhibiting at CES. Honorees also have the option of reserving a table to demonstrate product at the special Innovations Press/Analyst reception on January 6 and at the Innovations booth, throughout the entire four days of CES. Interested companies should contact Roz Graham of CEA at 703-907-7432 or e-mail: innovations@ce.org.
