Cyber X Games Championships registrations open
by Jolex Del Pilar

Wednesday, October 29, 2003

If you've got the cash, then you've got a spot.

Team registrations for 50 Buy-In-Slots (BIS) to the ATI/AMD Cyber X Games Championships are now available on a first come, first served basis for $150 USD.

Teams that purchase a BIS are ensured a slot in the ATI/AMD Cyber X Games Championships double elimination tournaments for a chance to win hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash and prizes. The event is being held in conjunction with the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) Thursday - Sunday, Jan. 8 - 11 in Las Vegas.

"Unfortunately, some players were unable to organize their teams or make travel arrangements in time to compete at the regional qualifiers closest to them," Joe Hill, president, Cyber X Gaming, said. "We felt the BIS and the BYOC events were a great way to give all these gamers a second chance to compete at the world's most important gaming festival."

Players can also sign up for the 2,500 open spots in the BYOC (bring your own computer) event with $100,000 in prizes.

Teams interested in a BIS or BYOC should select the "Las Vegas/CES Finals" option during the registration process at .
