Lionhead Studios to make use of RenderWare
by Jolex Del Pilar

Black & White Fable Project Ego... blah?

Criterion Software announced that Lionhead Studios has licensed RenderWare Physics. The deal will see RenderWare Physics being the exclusive physics technology used by Lionhead's internal and satellite development teams. Work is already underway to integrate the solution across Lionhead's entire games portfolio, which includes Black & White 2, B.C. and The Movies.

Lionhead's search for a physics partner involved the rigorous review and testing of the leading players in the physics space. Its decision to go with RenderWare was based on its superior performance, product functionality and Criterion's provision of unparalleled support.

Peter Molyneux, Managing Director, Lionhead comments, "The public has huge expectations of any Lionhead title. Our aim, as it has always been, is to create products that excite and inspire the game-playing public, while delivering gameplay that challenges creative boundaries. The use of RenderWare to ensure that our focus remains on this creativity is a key strategy for us going forward. We have found RenderWare Physics to be the best technology in the field, and Criterion's in-depth knowledge and understanding of what we are trying to achieve, teamed with a really strong support infrastructure means that we can deliver what we promise."
