EA conducts online Super Bowl Party
by Jolex Del Pilar

Friday, January 30, 2004

...and we've not seen anything quite as nerdy.

EA informed VGLN.com today that they will be conducting a Super Bowl Party online (yes...) for interested gamers.

When: Friday, January 30th, 2004 between 12:01 AM PST and 11:59 PM PST

Where: EA SPORTS? All-Star Football at http://www.easports.com/free/home.jsp

Win: A Tailgating Party kit, a signed football from a pro football player, or a Wilson? NFL? Game Ball

Join the EA SPORTS? All-Star Football Party on January 30, 2004 and automatically enter to win a Tailgating Party Kit, a signed football, or a Wilson? NFL? Game Ball. Players who load up the game during the designated “Party” time will be entered into the All-Star Football Party drawing. Participants may play as many times as they wish during the Sweepstakes period. CHAT with other All-Star Football players, ENTER to win great prizes, and CELEBRATE football this Friday!

Game In Brief
All-Star Football has everything a football fan needs, whether it’s a quick football fix in the game’s Scrimmage Mode or a persistent-full season of football madness. Written in Java and requiring no plug-ins, All-Star Football features 10 teams each with unique strengths and player stats. Users will pick their team to play in one of two modes; Scrimmage Mode or Season Mode which consists of 9 regular season games, a Division Playoff and the highly anticipated EA SPORTS Bowl. From a top-down perspective, users can pick the play and control the Quarterback to either scramble, dish-off to the running back or pass to make their way to the end zone. The more you play, the more your player can get promoted based on their performance and reach All-Star Gold status. What are you waiting for, gear up and hit the field.

Game Features

· Top-down view of the field
· 6 plays to choose among in each category – Pass, Run and Defense
· One-button passing
· Promote players based on their performance
· Fake out other players on the field for long gains
· In-game bonuses for jackpot spin
