Halo 2 is golden

First it was announced on Bungie.net, and now Microsoft has issued the press release confirming that Halo 2 is indeed ready for manufacturing.

Part of the Bungie.net post reads: " Woohoo! Halo 2 is DONE! We're officially finished with the game and all 8 language versions have been handed off to manufacturing. Just a few short weeks to go before the game is in your hands...

They said it couldn't be done! Actually, they didn't say that, but if they had, we'd have proved them all (the fake people who didn't say anything) wrong! Halo 2 has gone gold. We finished every line of code, every pixel of art, every frame of animation, every phoneme of dialog and every note of music. We finished it when we said we would (when it was done) and shipped that baby right on time to make its November launch date. And we're kinda proud of it. We think it's 'fun.' "

Halo 2 will ship simultaneously over three days to 27 countries in eight languages. As you no doubt know, on November 9 North America, South America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand will receive the title. Then on November 10, Halo 2 will come to France, Belgium and Switzerland; finally, Japan and the rest of Europe get the game on November 11.
