Sony lawsuit cripples Bleem™ with mounting legal cost.
Bleem Inc., a producer of emulators that allowed gamers to run PlayStation games on personal computers and Sega's Dreamcast, has apparently folded up operations.
The company’s website now contains a graphic featuring Sonic the Hedgehog standing next to a tombstone which reads: Bleem, April 1999—November 2001.
Bleem’s last product, the Bleemcast, which allowed users to play certain PS games on Sega's system, brought the wrath of Sony—in the form of a lawsuit—down on the company. Bleem countersued Sony, claiming that the electronics giant was exercising a monopoly over the videogame industry.
