Game will utilize Crytek technology for game engine.
Ubi Soft Entertainment has officially announced it will be publishing the upcoming PC first-person shooter game, Far Cry.
In development by German company Crytek, Far Cry is scheduled for release in late 2003. The game revolves around the player being abducted to a group of islands in Polynesia, where he must fight against armed opponents and help unravel a conspiracy.
Far Cry runs on Crytek’s CryENGINE, the company’s proprietary graphics technology, which promises ”realistic physics, stunning sound effects and highly evolved enemy team intelligence".
