The new 1.1a versions features new creatures, items, and terrains.

Microsoft Game Studios and Gas Powered Games today announced that the Dungeon Siege Tool Kit (DSTK) has been updated and is now available for download at http://www.microsoft.com/games/dungeonsiege/. Version 1.1a of the Dungeon Siege Tool Kit (version 1.1a) incorporates a number of helpful updates and workflow enhancements to Siege Max, giving mod-makers the freedom to create new creatures, items, terrain and animations that can be brought directly into Dungeon Siege worlds. These enhancements work in conjunction with the latest update of Discreet’s gmax software (version 1.2), and coincide with the release of the all-new DSTK Art Packs.

The DSTK Art Packs contain basic textures, models and animation files for a variety of Dungeon Siege characters and creatures. The wide variety of body types, sizes, and animations in these Packs provide great reference material for mod-makers looking to build brand new components. They also serve as a great starting point for those who wish to tweak existing art elements in order to create their own custom versions of Dungeon Siege content.
