Shots from "leaked beta" says Activision spokeswoman.
Looks like IGN.com may have their bottom spanked by publisher Activision after the site posted Doom III shots from an illegally leaked beta.
An Activision spokeswoman had this to say, "A couple of these shots are actually from [an illegally] leaked alpha. We're not sure why IGN posted them and are investigating, but we're asking you NOT to post these shots on your own sites."
In all honesty, for any P2P users, it's common knowledge that the beta has been available on Kazaa and other file sharing networks for at least 7 months. Having... umm... played through it on a friend's computer, the beta ran extremely slow even on a Pentium 4 2GHZ system with a Radeon 9800 tossed on top. The frame rate hovered around 12 frames/second even while not in motion. It did have extremely high quality visuals, and looks the goods. Be a good boy, and wait for the final release though.
