Try it before you buy it, that's what we always say.
Microsoft Game Studios and Ensemble Studios today announced that the Age of Mythology: The Titans trial version is now available from the game’s official website (http://www.microsoft.com/games/titans). Age of Mythology: The Titans is an expansion pack for the award-winning Age of Mythology. The expansion adds new content to the game, including a fourth mythology, the Atlanteans, to the existing Greek, Egyptian and Norse mythologies. The Titans expansion pack is on store shelves now for a suggested retail price of $29.95 (U.S.), but gamers everywhere can experience the thunderous godlike powers by downloading the free trial version today. In the trial version, gamers assume the role of the mighty Atlantean god Kronos. Players can advance through the third age on the random map “The Marsh” or play the tutorial and first scenario of the brand-new single player campaign. Gamers don’t need to own the original Age of Mythology to enjoy the rich gameplay in the trial version.
The single player campaign in the retail version of Age of Mythology: The Titans adds yet another chapter to the franchise's expansive folklore with the addition of 12 story-driven scenarios and in-game cinematics. Atlantean players are able to call upon the might of the Titan gods multiple times throughout the game and may also upgrade human units to heroes. The expansion pack introduces 12 new god powers, 11 new human units, 12 formidable myth units and the ability to summon a massive Titan to the game. Age of Mythology: The Titans may also be played with up to eight players online using the in-game matchmaking service, ES Online (http://www.eso.com).
