Shrapnel Games set to release RTS game by November.

Illwinter Game Design and Shrapnel Games are pleased to announce that Dominions 2: The Ascension Wars has gone gold. The current projected release date is November 14th.

Dominions 2: The Ascension Wars will be available on a multitude of platforms, a first for a Shrapnel Games product. Whether you're using a Windows based system, a Mac, Linux, or even Solaris, you'll be able to enjoy this deeply enthralling, and highly addictive, turn based strategy title.

In Dominions 2 players assume the role of a god in a quest to become the One True God. To do this you'll need to raise armies, assassinate enemy leaders, wield powerful magic, and in general crush all non-believers. With up to sixteen other opponents, either AI or human, the competition will be tough but the games played legendary in nature! As you wage war across the fantasy landscapes all that will be missing is a skald to sing of your noble (or diabolical if you're feeling evil) crusade. Unfortunately the shipping cost to give everyone their personal bard tends to be somewhat prohibitive so you'll have to make do humming the opening of the Carmina Burana.
