Sam Goody reports it's top selling videogames for the year

PSX and PS2 titles take 9 out of 10 spots. Metal Gear Solid 2 among top sellers.

Entertainment software retailer Sam Goody reported today its top-selling music, video and videogame titles for this year. The following ranking of top videogames is based on sales data from January 1 to December 15:

1. Madden NFL 2002—PS2
2. Grand Theft Auto 3—PS2
3. Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty—PS2
4. Gran Turismo 3—PS2
5. Halo—Xbox
6. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3—PS2
7. Motocross Mania—PS One
8. Gran Turismo 2—PS One
9. Madden NFL 2002—PS One
10. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2—PS One

Sam Goody has 628 stores in 48 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
