Extremely popular MMORPG may be here as early as next year.
Sony Online Entertainment Inc. (SOE) has finally gone on the record and announced that a sequel to the popular online game EverQuest, is in development.
Ever Quest II is still a long way from reaching consumers however, with an estimated launch date of Winter 2003. Gamers will be provided with the opportunity to own real estate, ride horses, command ships and experoence all new spells, quests and events. A completely new, internally developed 3D engine will also power the game.
The game promises to be even larger in scope than its predecessor, with the ability to host hundreds of thousands of simultaneous users around the globe.
