PS2 reaches 10 million units in Japan faster than the PSX.
Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCEI) has now shipped over 10-million PlayStation 2 consoles in Japan.
The mark was achieved in two years and five months, following the console’s Japanese debut in March of 2000. By comparison, the original PlayStation took approximately three years to hit the 10-million shipped mark in its home territory.
