Midway Games Inc. today announced the launch of the official website for The Suffering. Players can now step into the seedy underbelly of a maximum security penitentiary that is The Suffering by visiting http://www.thesuffering.midway.com.
The Suffering enters the horror genre by combining action-oriented game-play with a prison environment haunted by ghoulish apparitions. The game will put the player in the world of a maximum security penitentiary in the role of Torque, an inmate accused of a brutal crime he may or may not have committed. Trapped in this ghastly environment and beset by horrific creatures, Torque is constantly challenged to stay alive and wield all manner of weapons in his fight to escape the nightmare that has been unleashed on Abbott Penitentiary.
The Suffering will be available on February 23, 2004 for the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system.
