Launch of system in China delayed due to unknown circumstances.
Sony Computer Entertainment announced today that they have delayed the entry of their Playstation 2 console into China.
The system which was supposed to begin selling in China on December 20th apparently has been held back according to a notice posted on Sony China Ltd.’s website which states, “We regret to inform you that there's been a change to the original Dec. 20, 2003 plan due to an unfavorable environment which doesn't permit us to start selling the PlayStation 2 according to schedule.”
No new target has been set. A spokesperson from SCEA could not be reached.
