Amped 2? Online?

In a recent interview, members of the Amped development team confirmed a sequel to their hit snowboarding title. More inside!

Almost a year ago, during an interview with DailyRadar, Microsoft's Carl Schnurr hinted towards an Amped snowboarding sequel. TeamXbox.comwas right on top of that news, as seen here. Today, thanks to our swiss friends at GBase, we can confirm that the Amped team plans not only to bring an Amped sequel to the Xbox, but also some other type of game based in within the same genre.

When do you plan to release Amped 2?
It´s not officially yet. We are talking about Amped 1 now (laughing) - but it´s coming!

Do you plan an internet-competition?
It´s not official. There´s no online-component in Amped 1, but there are discussions for future projects.

Do you guys have other plans then doing Amped 2?
There´s a project we are very excited about. It´s in the same genre, it will be amazing. It will set new standards of course on Xbox only. The reason why again, we just can´t build this type of game we want to do on any other system. The Xbox is the only plattform that enables you to do what designers want to do.
