Not many details besides some capability statistics, but E3 is coming soon.
Xbox.com has been updated with an article entitled State of the Xbox Volume 9, which talks a little about getting the Microsoft console online, and how things are progressing.
Not many specific details are released (expect more from this years E3), but the article does list some staggering statistics—from Kelly Atom,the director of online operations—about the hardware running the current Xbox gaming network. The service includes: · 350 computers in the central operations center. · 700 processors running at a given time. · 500 gigabytes of total RAM in use in for the service at any given time. · 25 terabytes of total disk space in use at the service. · Over 50 miles of cable run at the central Xbox online facility.
