Microsoft Corp. announced that they have entered into a semiconductor technology agreement with IBM Corp. that will see IBM semi-conductor technology used in "future" Xbox related products.
Bernie Meyerson, chief technologist for IBM's Technology Group, said, “We're excited to be working on a project of this magnitude and that Microsoft has chosen IBM to provide technologies that will power future consumer devices and expand the boundaries of what's possible in entertainment.”
Whether this means IBM will be involved with Microsoft's next console is debatable. Microsoft already has agreements with ATI to produce a graphics chipset for the next Xbox console.
