FUNimation to release gaming guides
by Kit

Friday, October 17, 2003

Dragonball Z and Yu-Gi-Oh! to Metal Gear Solid and Mario Sunshine.

g-NET Media LLC announced today that it has established g-NET Publishing in order to produce and market videogame-related home-video products. g-NET Publishing's first product will be iGuides(tm), the world's first line of officially licensed DVD strategy guides for today's biggest videogames.

g-NET has selected FUNimation Productions Ltd. as the exclusive distributor for its iGuide product in the U.S. and all English-speaking territories. FUNimation is known for having the distribution rights to such popular anime properties such as Dragon Ball Z, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Yu Yu Hakusho.

g-NET's "all access" iGuides will enable consumers to fully navigate, enjoy, and master today's most popular videogames. iGuides feature many innovations that improve upon the existing print strategy-guide format, including:
· video-based instruction on controls and game-play
· video-based character, enemy, weapons, items, and maps galleries
· video-based walkthroughs
· web-based updates and content
· print and search functionality
· exclusive animated/video Bonus Content
With a patent pending on the product, g-NET is the first mover in the DVD Strategy Guide market.

"Most gamers have no idea just how much enjoyment can be unlocked from today's games. iGuides will shock game fans around the world by revealing all that games have to offer," says g-NET CEO David Getson. "And FUNimation's reach and reputation ensure that iGuides will be available in every relevant retail outlet where videogames and home entertainment are sold."
