Tom Clancy's 'The Sum of All Fears' announced for next-gen platforms

Based on the the Ghost Recon engine, Redstorm's latest in-house title in dev. for PC, PS2, and GCN.

Redstorm Entertainment/Ubi-soft has announced Tom Clancy's "The Sum of All Fears", their latest tactical FPS adventure based on the best-selling novel and upcoming film of the same name. In its current state it looks remarkably like Ghost Recon for the PC, with similar modeling, environment detail, and character stances, but with a "Rainbow Six" flavor to it. "SOAF" for the PC will be released alongside the film's debut late May, with the console versions coming Q4 2002 alongside the movie's DVD release. Screens from the PC version and first gameplay details are below:


"The world is waiting. Counter the crisis.


Lead a team of domestic counter-terrorism experts through 11 dangerous missions that span the globe. Formed from the elite of the F.B.I.’s HRT, you have been tapped to perform covert ops in the most dangerous circumstances imaginable. As the commander of this team, you’ll lead your unit into the heat of battle, performing missions ranging from eliminating terrorists to planting bugs, and destroying illegal weapons caches to rescuing hostages. You’ll give them orders in the field and take the point in leading them into combat.
