Godzilla for GBA
by Jolex Del Pilar

Wednesday, July 17, 2002

Multi-player support and big bad mutations highlight this GBA game.

Infogrames, Inc. has announced that a Godzilla-themed game is in development for Nintendo’s Game Boy Advance.

Godzilla: Domination is to be published under the Atari label and is scheduled for release this October. The monster-on-monster fighting game will support up to four players and will contain five modes of play. Story mode allows gamers to choose one of six officially licensed monsters and set out to destroy the other five creatures, in Custom mode players can battle a single, AI controlled opponent, Multi-Pak mode supports two-to-four player melee combat, Single-Pak mode allows multiplay, but only using the same monster and Survival mode will pit players against the computer to determine how many monsters can be defeated in a row.

Godzilla: Domination is in development by WayForward Pocket Team and makes use of Infogrames’ licensing agreement with Toho Co. Ltd. The Godzilla license is also featured in an upcoming GameCube game, Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee, set for a fall release.
