Voodoo GameDoctor launches
by Kit

Tuesday, October 19 2004

PC health for everyone.

VoodooPC today announced the official launch of Voodoo GameDoctor the most essential software for anyone who plays PC Games.

One of the biggest benefits with PC Games is the ability to apply patches and updates. One problem with PC Games is the trouble it takes to find and update games with these patches. Typically the average user doesn't know what a patch is, let alone where to find a patch or even if they need a patch and then you usually end up in a queue to get them.

Voodoo GameDoctor takes the confusion away by actively searching your hard drive for all your games - it then tells you what patches are available and it allows you to manually or automatically install these on your PC via the GameDoctor servers located in North America and the United Kingdom. Another handy feature is GameDoctors ability to provide the latest graphics drivers; an invaluable addition for any game player that wants to wring the maximum out of their PC gaming rig.

"GameDoctor just makes sense" said Jan Strzepka, Brand Development Manager, VoodooPC "You can set it to automatically search and schedule times for download, or for those who prefer to control content being downloaded to their PC it can be done manually."

Voodoo GameDoctor is free to try for 30 days, after which the costs are $15 for 1 year of service which also includes access to the dedicated GameDoctor servers and a choice of a 1 year magazine subscription. The customer can choose from a subscription to PC Magazine, Computer Gaming World, or Electronic Gaming Monthly.

"With Voodoo GameDoctor you don't need to wait in line for patch updates like you do with similar competitive services," says Trentent Tye, Chief Software Engineer, VoodooPC, "GameDoctor tracks new content, game levels, demos, mods and movies and brings the download to your desktop. This eliminates the need for trying to track down the files and then having to wait to download from some of the more popular download services."
