U.K gets Halo 2 date

Shooter will launch shortly after U.S lauch.

Microsoft Game Studios today confirmed that Xbox's Halo 2 will be hitting stores in the U.K. on November 11, 2004, only two days after the North American date.

The sequel to Bungie Studios' hit FPS will "redefine" online play as well as offer "a wealth of technological and gameplay advances." Halo 2 will showcase much improved graphics, smarter A.I., destructible interactive environments, "advanced" real-time lighting, new weapons and vehicles, and more.

Michel Cassius, Senior Director, Xbox Platform and Marketing, commented, "We know people are waiting for it and Halo 2 is everything people expect it to be – a fitting sequel to Halo and the most hotly anticipated title on any platform. With multiplayer online capabilities that expand online gaming to another level, Halo 2 is a significant launch."
