Newest patch is third official fix this year for Shrapnel's PC strategy game.
Illwinter Game Design have just summoned up a new patch for their fantasy strategy title, Dominions II: The Ascension Wars, published by Shrapnel Games.
The patch includes a number of tweaks and corrects several bugs. The patch is fully compatible with save games from previous versions, but not the other way around, which means everyone playing in a multiplayer game must upgrade at the same time. A complete list of changes can be found online, but here are some tidbits:
* In battle can fast forward or skip.
* Can add new gods through the power of modding.
* CPU usage reduction on army setup screen.
* Two new resolution settings.
* Battle inconsistency bug fixed.
* Windows network stability improved.
* Sea of Ice now working correctly.
* .and more.
This is the third official patch and brings the retail release up to version 2.11. It is available for download at the Shrapnel Games website at http://www.shrapnelgames.com/Illwinter/d2/6.htm, along with the demo for those few souls who have yet to try this acclaimed title.
