Fairyland gets distributor in Philippines

MMORPG to be distributed by Alta.

Lager Interactive informed VGLN.com that Alta (Philippines) has been the exclusive Philippines distributor for the MMORPG Fairyland.

“International market has always been important for us. We are glad that Fairyland gets a new distributor. We will provide full support to our new partner in both operation and promotion in Philippines.” said Philip Chang, the CEO of Lager.

"We are delighted to announce the Philippines rights for Fairyland," said Russell Yeh, managing director of Alta, "This game is great. We believe it will be very popular in Philippines".

Fairyland is a cutesy style game, combined with fairy tales from all over the world as its background and includes a unique pet system. This combination has won the hearts of kids and grown-ups alike from all over the world. With its friendly and intuitive interface, easy-to-follow guides, and easy-to-understand background, Fairyland is truly a world full of pleasure. This fantasy online game is very popular in Asia, received a great honor when it achieved the Best Online Game Prize for Great China's Game Star Contest & Award in February 6, 2004.

Lager and Alta signed the Fairyland agreement at E3 Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles in May 2004. The game is scheduled to Open Beta in the Philippines in June. Currently, Fairyland is a hugely popular online game in many Asian countries including Taiwan, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Japan, Malaysia, and Singapore.
